User Onboarding
The target audience for Zeno includes both novice and experienced users of web3 technology. To accommodate a wide range of users, multiple onboarding options will be available. All user interactions, rewards, and statistics will be recorded using a web3 wallet.
Experienced web3 users will have the option to sign in using a web3 wallet that they are already familiar with, such as Metamask, Frame, or other relevant options. This process will be seamless for these users, as they can sign in using their existing wallet.
For less experienced users, an alternative onboarding process will be provided. Setting up a web3 wallet and obtaining GAS for transactions can be a barrier for these users. To overcome this obstacle, the Sequence Wallet (https://sequence.xyz/) will be offered as a beginner-friendly option. Instead of generating keys and strings, users can sign up using a common login system or email address. By using services that users are already familiar with, the transition from outsider to customer is made more seamless.
During the initial Alpha release, login through Metamask will be supported as the initial target audience is users already familiar with web3. However, integration with the Sequence Wallet will be considered for future development.
It is important to note that the system proposed has both advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that Zeno does not save or manage user data, which makes it cheaper to develop and operate the platform, with less focus on user data security and compliance with privacy laws such as GDPR. However, a drawback is that since everything associated with a user account is connected to their wallet, the platform administrators are unable to assist users who have lost access to their wallet. Further development of the admin system to safely implement user data storage is recommended for the final release, which will be targeted towards a wider audience.
