Earned

Finishing Quiz

Every quiz that is correctly finished should give a Utility Token reward in order to incentivize going through the course. The number of tokens earned on each quiz should be paid out using a scale where the first quiz in the course gives less reward than the last quiz. Paying out the Utility Tokens using a scale will make users think “just one more quiz and I’ll earn x amount more tokens than last time”. (Because of the complexity, in the Alpha there will be a linear reward system).

Finishing Course

By finishing a course, the user will get the most amount of tokens as a reward.

Daily Reward for consecutive Days of Work

On a rolling 7-day schedule, each day signing in and completing a Quiz will earn the user a small amount of bonus Utility Tokens for the first day, and the maximum amount of tokens on the 7th day. This will then restart on the 8th day. This will incentivize people to come back every day and finish at least 1 quiz, creating a positive affirmation for the user and “training” the user to come back every day.

Behind the Scenes

When setting up a course, the administrator will be setting the number of chapters and quizzes for the course and at the same time assign a total number of tokens to distribute towards the course as a whole. The total amount of tokens will then be divided using a scale to give out a small number of tokens at the beginning and the most amount when finishing the course. (during alpha, there will be a linear reward system).

Zeno’s requirements are initially that the levels for all courses are of the same structure and naming. Important to mention is that an investor cannot buy himself onto a certain level. Learners need to get rewarded by proving knowledge. Finishing quizzes and courses give Utility Tokens and a specific amount gathered gives you the level.

The level you achieved will be independent of the fiat course from the token.

Earning Example

Minting

The minting of the Utility Tokens takes place each time the user “earns” a token. These tokens are then placed in a “pending” pool in which only the user who earned tokens can collect their part in the Dashboard.

Redemption

All tokens earned will be added to the account signed into the platform. The number of tokens earned but not yet collected can be seen in the dashboard. In the dashboard, the user can either “claim” the pending Utility Tokens or directly choose to stake them in the dashboard for a reward. Note that this “Claim” transaction will cost GAS either for the user or Zeno.
